The initial selection & training sessions for East Region’s U18 Girls & Boys Inter-Regional squads will be held at Royal Hospital School, Holbrook, Ipswich IP9 2RX on Sunday 17th January.  The Girls session will be at 1pm-3pm followed by the Boys session at 3pm-5pm.

Players born in 1999-2002 are invited to attend (please note the details of player eligibility below).  The cost of this session will be £10 per head.

The Championship dates and venues are yet to be confirmed and there may be changes to the provisional dates I announced earlier.  Expected timescales are still late February or early March.

Player Eligibility

1) The competition standard of the U18 Inter-Regional Championships is very high.  Players must have previous experience at Inter-Regional and National Age Group championships or equivalent.

2)  Your ASA registered home address and postcode must be within East Region.  This includes Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambs, Beds, and those parts of Herts and Essex which lie outside London Boroughs.  (If you live in a London Borough you cannot play for East Region but you are eligible for London Region.)
3)  You must be ASA registered as a Category 2 competitor.  Please make sure your fee-paying club renews your registration for 2016.
East Region will pay the ASA Championship entry fee and provide funding towards training and event costs.  The final team will be required to contribute to the event costs (approximately £75 per player).
