SC torpedoes has been invited to participate a number of leagues/tournaments over the summer season (Apr-Oct) .
At our committee meeting this week we agreed to enter the following tournaments/leagues to provide a programme of  competitive matches over the summer season for our players.

Essex and Suffolk Water Polo League – Boys only team, players born 96 and later 
Ipswich, Basildon, Chelmsford, Colchester and SC Torpedoes are likely to enter.  This will be in a league format with teams playing each other in Home and Away matches so that is likely to be 8 matches to play.   4 home and 4 away.
The team for these matches will be selected from eligible boys that train with our current Junior Squad.
It is likely that our home matches will be played on a Friday or Monday nights.  Away matches are likely to played on different days when I see what is offered by the other clubs.

Essex and Suffolk Water Polo League – Mixed team, players born 98 and later
Bishops Storford, Ipswich, Basildon, Chelmsford, Colchester and SC Torpedoes are likely to enter. Again will be in a league format with teams playing each other so that likely be 10 matches to play.  5 home and 5 away.
The team for these matches will be selected from eligible players that train with our current Inter/Junior Squads .
It is likely that our home matches will be played on a Friday nights. Away matches are likely to played on different days when I see what is offered by the other clubs.

Eastern Water Polo League – mixed team, players aged 2000 and later
We expect the same clubs to enter this league however as these are younger players the matches will be played on 4 specific tournament dates.
The dates for the fist two of these session are:
13th April, 5:30pm – 8:30pm at Crown Pools, Ipswich
22nd June, 5:30pm – 8:30 pm at Crown Pools, Ipswich

I believe the other two events will be held at Basildon but have yet to see any proposed dates.
The team for these matches will be selected from eligible players that train with our current Inter/Diddy Squads

As you can see we have a busy summer ahead of us and lots of  matches to put that all of that training into practice for most of our squads,  meantime we will still be looking for matches/tournaments suitable for our older girls team.
